Executive produced and reported by Ann Curry, each episode of WE'LL MEET Over again reveals the powerful bonds forged amid people who at present, against the odds, have the run a risk to reunite with someone who transformed their life.

The tides of history can disrupt lives, throwing strangers together or violent loved ones apart. WE'LL Encounter Again reveals these moving personal stories of hope, courage and love:

  • A Vietnam War infant desperate to find the American father she last saw 40 years agone
  • The armed forces chaplain who helped a stranger through the trauma of 9/11
  • A Japanese-American girl interned in 1942 who never forgot the classmate who helped her during her darkest hours
  • Civil rights workers whose lives were forever inverse by the deep relationships they formed in the 1960s Southward

WE'LL MEET Over again takes viewers on a journey of hope, searching for clues in matrimony records and war and immigration documents, and combing archives to reunite those separated by fourth dimension and distance.

"This series helps people separated by conflict, war and humanitarian disasters find each other again and reveals untold stories of courage, survival, friendship and fifty-fifty love," said Curry. "This is human history — not from the indicate of view of kings or politicians or generals — but of everyday people on the forepart lines of massive events they have no mode to command. Their stories tell us something near what we are made of."

"We'LL MEET Again is where history meets the drama of existent life," said Beth Hoppe, Chief Programming Executive and General Manager, General Audition Programming, PBS. "Major events are brought to life in a completely personal fashion through these memorable stories of those torn apart and thrown together. And how wonderful to have the opportunity to be nowadays at these boggling reunions."

EPISODE GUIDE:

Episode 1: "Children Of WWII" aired Tuesday, January. 23 at eight p.one thousand. - Join Ann Back-scratch for the dramatic reunions of people separated by WWII. A Japanese-American woman sent to an internment army camp hopes to observe a childhood friend, and a survivor from a Jewish ghetto searches for the kid of the couple who befriended him.

Episode 2: "Rescued From Mount St. Helens" aired Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.thousand. - Join Ann Curry for the reunions of people whose lives crossed during the mortiferous eruption. Mindy searches for a scientist'southward family to tell them how he saved her life, and Sue wants to detect the helicopter pilot who rescued her from near-sure death.

Episode 3: "Lost Children Of Vietnam" aired Tuesday, February. half-dozen at 8 p.m. - Bring together Ann Curry for the dramatic reunions betwixt people separated after the war. Tina, born in Vietnam, searches for her American father. Nam hopes to notice the Texas cowboy who saved him every bit a young boy and inspired him to come to America.

Episode 4: "Heroes Of nine/11" aired Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. - Join Ann Curry for dramatic reunions between people whose lives intersected on ix/xi. Fatima hopes to thank Thelma for her courage in the face of racism, and Sherie searches for the friend who inspired her commitment to social justice.

Episode 6: "Coming Out" repeats Tuesday, June 9 at 8 p.one thousand. - Join Ann Curry as those whose lives were changed past the early on days of the gay rights move reunite. Tom wants to find the childhood friend who urged him to come out, while Paul seeks a boyfriend student who inspired him to stand up for his beliefs.
